  Frequently Asked Questions

Can C&M Couples products be used individually?
Yes. Here are some other suggested uses:
  • Light an Inspire Romance Candle while playing board games with your children. The citrus top note of the aroma will encourage happy feelings for everyone.
  • Mist the Inspire Romance Linen Spray in the room as a “wake me up” in the mornings – great for children too!
  • Pour some Inspire Romance Bath & Shower Gel into a child’s tub. It’s gentle on the skin and will soothe their souls too. Or, great as a shaving gel!
  • Give your little ones (5yrs+) a gentle back rub with the Inspire Romance massage crème. It’s soothing lavender and chamomile will help them into a gentle slumber. (Leaving you to focus on your alone time.)

Do you offer C&M Couples in an unscented version?
No, that would defeat the purpose of the collection. The aromatherapy scents and properties are what captivates and triggers our emotions and our desire to bond.

Do you offer C&M Couples massage oil?
No. We purposely developed a crème for its absorption qualities. However, if you desire added glide, simply add a small amount of the Create Passion Personal Lubricant to the crème.

We love the richness of the massage crème, but it's sometimes difficult to pump. Do you offer it in a jar?
No. We purposely bottled the crème for sanitary and quality assurance purposes. Continued dipping into a jar will affect the natural ingredients and light will degrade the quality of the essential oils. So we use Pet bottles for their protective, lightweight and shatter resistant features. The white, opaque color helps protect the quality of the essential oils from harmful light. We recommend tapping the bottom of the bottle on a hard surface after each use to prevent coning. Or, you may add the Create Passion Personal Lubricant for a thinner consistency.

Are C&M Couples products organic?
C&M Couples products use organically produced ingredients wherever possible. We start with raw materials based on the use of expeller-expressed vegetable oils, organic herbs, waxes, and butters. However, we are not “certified organic” at this point.

Are the C&M Couples products hypoallergenic?
C&M Couples producst go through a Repeat Insult Patch Test(RIP) and use the purest, gentlest ingredients. As with all other personal care and cosmetic products on the market, we recommend you do you own patch testing and read the ingredients list for known allergies. All our ingredients are listed on our labels.

What preservative system do you use to avoid Parabens?
C&M Couples products are made with a liquid preservative system consisting of phenoxyethanol, an aromatic ether alcohol and caprylyl glycol which serves as an emollient base. The combination of these ingredients provides optimized protection against microbial growth from bacteria and yeast while giving the finished product an exceptional feel. An effective preservative that is free of parabens, and formaldehyde.

We LOVE the personal lubricant! But, we got some on our wood floors and it stained my t-shirt. How do we clean it up?
Hmmm, sounds like you've been having fun. Here are some things to know about silicone lubricants:

  • Because they contain no water, silicone lubricants never dry up. They stay slick for a very long time.
  • Because they don’t break down in water, silicone lubricants can be used in the bath or shower, or for any kind of underwater fun.
  • Because they are not water soluble, it is difficult to wash off, especially wood floors and fabrics. So be careful with your satin sheets and we suggest removing your clothes during intimate moments.
  • When storing the lubricant, make sure to keep the bottle upright. Otherwise it will spill out, no matter how tightly you close the cap.
  • When traveling, make sure to place plastic (Saran Wrap will do) between the openning and the cap. Then place in a sealed plastic bag.
  • Silicone lubricants are unlikely to have any topical body reactions, irritations or allergic reactions. For this reason it is a good choice for people with sensitive skin.
  • Silicone is safe to use and will not harm condoms.

Do you offer a waterbased, or warming lubricant?
Not at this time. We pursosely developed an oderless, tasteless, non-warming silicone lubricant as our first release for a couple of reasons...

  1. In our opinion, warming and flavored lubricants are a gimmick. We've never found any real pleasure from them other than a good laugh. If you want a warming sensation, add a small drop of cinnamon or peppermint essential oil to the area. This will give a nice scent and taste as well.
  2. Water based lubricants eventually dry up, so you have to reapply often. What a hassle.
  3. When water lubricants dry, they get a bit tacky. This makes the experience very uncomfortable.
As we care about the quality of our products, we will not release a water based lubricant until we can solve the above issues. But when we do, you can be sure it will be tasteless and non-warming.
