For more than a decade, Life Elements has focused on one thing: creating plant-based wellness products that people can actually feel. A CLEARER FUTURE FOR LIFE ELEMENTS

Now, we’re making that focus even clearer. Over the next couple of months, Life Elements will be winding down our CBD tincture collection and moving forward as a topical-only CBD brand.

This is not because we no longer believe in the products. Quite the opposite. We know many of our customers rely on tinctures as part of their wellness routine, and we are incredibly grateful for the trust you’ve placed in us. But the world of CBD — especially ingestible CBD — has become a ridiculously complex and fast-changing regulatory arena. Rather than chase uncertainty, we are choosing clarity. We are focusing Life Elements where we have always been strongest: premium topical wellness products made with intention, clean ingredients, and relief you can feel.

WHY WE’RE WINDING DOWN OUR CBD TINCTURES

The short answer: ingestible CBD products face far more regulatory complexity than topical CBD products. CBD tinctures, gummies, beverages, capsules, pet CBD, and other ingestible products sit at the intersection of state hemp laws, federal food and supplement rules, online marketplace restrictions, advertising policies, and certification requirements.

WHY INGESTIBLE CBD HAS BECOME SO COMPLICATED

In California, Assembly Bill 8 places strict limits on hemp extracts used in foods, beverages, and dietary supplements. Beginning January 1, 2026, industrial hemp raw extract used in those categories must meet narrow requirements, including greater than 99% purity and no THC or synthetic cannabinoids. That creates a difficult environment for responsible small businesses trying to make high-quality CBD products, especially when the rules continue to shift.

WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH CBD LAWS IN 2026?

CBD and hemp laws are continuing to evolve at both the state and federal levels.

In California, newer legislation has increased oversight of hemp-derived products, especially ingestibles and products containing THC or intoxicating cannabinoids. AB 8 established stricter rules for hemp extracts used in food, beverages, and dietary supplements. (Digital Democracy | CalMatters)

California also passed Senate Bill 378, which increases accountability for online marketplaces connected to illicit cannabis or intoxicating hemp product sales and advertising. (LegiScan)

Nationally, hemp policy is also changing. Federal legislation set to take effect on November 12, 2026, narrows how lawful hemp products are defined, including tighter THC limits for finished hemp-derived cannabinoid products. For Life Elements, the path forward is equally simple: focus on compliant topical wellness products and continue making them exceptionally well.

OUR TOPICAL COLLECTION IS NOT GOING AWAY

This shift allows us to keep building a cleaner, more focused brand — one that is easier for customers to understand, easier for platforms to review, and better positioned for the future of CBD compliance, advertising, and certification. It also supports our ability to pursue cleaner review pathways for platforms such as LegitScript, Meta, and Google, where ingestible CBD and pet CBD products can create additional compliance challenges.

WHAT HAPPENS TO THE TINCTURE COLLECTION?

Our tinctures will remain available only while current inventory lasts.

Over the next couple of months, we will offer closeout pricing for customers who want to stock up before the collection is retired.

Once inventory is gone, we do not currently plan to restock the tincture collection.
